Privacy Policy

This explains what Footy Fantasy Services (BN ________) collects when you use Footy Fantasy, why, and what you can do about it. We follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. We don’t sell your data and we don’t show ads.

What we collect

  • Account: your name, email address and password (stored scrambled, never readable). If you sign in with Google, we get your name, email and profile picture from Google.
  • League data: your team name, squad picks, transfers, chips and points, plus anything a league admin enters about players (names, photos, positions, match stats).
  • Payments: for league admins who pay, the amount, date, plan and a Paystack reference. Card details go straight to Paystack; we never see your full card number.
  • Device and security: your IP address and browser type when you sign in, to keep sessions secure and spot abuse.
  • Notifications: if you turn on push notifications, a code from your browser that lets us send them. Turn them off any time.
  • Feedback: anything you send us through the app or by email.

Why we use it

  • To run your account and league: scoring, standings, cups and head-to-head.
  • To take payments and keep billing records, which the law requires.
  • To send messages you need (password resets, trial and payment reminders) and notifications you’ve turned on.
  • To keep the service secure and fix problems.

Our legal basis is providing the service you signed up for, our legal duties (like keeping payment records), and your consent for optional things like push notifications.

Who can see it

  • Your league: other managers in your league see your name, team name, squad and points.
  • Service providerswho help run Footy Fantasy, only for that purpose: Vercel (hosting), Prisma (database), Paystack (payments), Google (sign-in, if you use it), EmailJS (password reset emails), and your browser’s push service (notifications). Some of them store data outside Nigeria; we use providers with proper security and data protection terms.
  • Authorities, only when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

  • Account and league data: while your account exists.
  • Payment records: up to 6 years, because tax law requires it.
  • Sign-in session records: until the session ends or expires.

Your rights

You can:

  • see and correct your details in the app;
  • delete your account at any time from the More page (this removes your personal data, except payment records we must keep);
  • ask us for a copy of your data, to stop or limit how we use it, or to move it elsewhere;
  • withdraw consent for notifications at any time;
  • complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission if you think we’ve got it wrong.

Cookies

We only use cookies we need to keep you signed in and secure. No advertising or tracking cookies.

Children

Footy Fantasy isn’t meant for children under 13. If you think a child under 13 has an account, email us and we’ll remove it.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed, and access to our systems is limited. No system is perfect; if a breach affects you, we’ll tell you and the regulator as the law requires.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll tell you in the app or by email first.
