Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Footy Fantasy Services (BN ________), a business registered in Nigeria (“we”, “us”). They cover your use of Footy Fantasy at footyfantasy.net and its league sites. By creating an account or a league you agree to them.

1. What Footy Fantasy is

Footy Fantasy lets a group run a private fantasy football league for its own real-life matches. A league admin sets up the league, adds players and records match stats; managers pick squads and score points.

It is not a betting or gambling service.We don’t take stakes, hold prize money or pay out winnings. Any prizes or contributions a group arranges among itself are that group’s own business and responsibility, and must follow the law where the group is.

2. Accounts

  • You must give a real email address and keep your password safe. You’re responsible for what happens under your account.
  • You must be at least 13 years old. If you’re under 18, a parent or guardian should agree to these terms with you.
  • One person, one account. Don’t sign up as someone else.

3. League admins

The person who creates a league (and anyone they make an admin) is responsible for:

  • the league’s content: player names, photos, stats and results they enter;
  • having permission to use the names and photos of the people in their league;
  • paying for the league’s plan once the free trial ends.

4. Free trial and plans

  • Every new league starts with a free trial of 14 days or 2 finished gameweeks, whichever comes later. No card is needed for the trial.
  • After the trial, the league needs a paid plan: Regular for up to 30 managers, or Largefor more. Prices are shown on the league’s billing page before you pay. The plan is set by how many managers the league has when you pay.
  • Plans are billed monthly or yearly and renew automatically on the same card until the admin cancels. Payments in Naira are processed by Paystack; we never see or store your full card number.
  • If a payment isn’t made when it’s due, the league stays fully usable for 3more days. After that it becomes read-only (everyone can still view it, but nothing can be changed) until the plan is paid. We don’t delete a league for not paying without warning the admin first.
  • We may change prices. A change never applies to a period you’ve already paid for, and we’ll tell league admins at least 30 days before it affects their next renewal.
  • Founder price: the first leagues to subscribe get a lasting discount, shown at checkout. It lasts as long as the league stays subscribed. If the admin cancels, the founder price is gone for good, even if the league subscribes again later.

5. Cancelling

A league admin can cancel at any time from the league’s billing page. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the league keeps everything it has paid for until the end of the current period. Refunds are covered in our Refund Policy.

6. Fair use

Don’t:

  • break the law, harass people, or post hateful, sexual or violent content;
  • upload photos or names of people who haven’t agreed to be in the league;
  • try to get into accounts or leagues that aren’t yours, or attack, scrape or overload the service;
  • resell or copy Footy Fantasy.

We can remove content, or suspend an account or league, that breaks these rules. Where we reasonably can, we warn first and explain why.

7. Your content

You own what you put in. You give us permission to store and show it so the league works (for example, showing a player’s photo to the other managers). When content is deleted, we stop showing it.

8. The service

We work hard to keep Footy Fantasy running and accurate, but it’s provided “as is”. We can’t promise it will never go down or never have a bug. Points depend on the stats your league admin enters; we’re not responsible for mistakes in them. We may change or improve features over time.

9. Liability

As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect losses, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what your league paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be limited.

10. Ending things

You can delete your account at any time from the More page. We can end these terms if you seriously or repeatedly break them. If we ever shut Footy Fantasy down, we’ll give at least 30 days’ notice and refund any unused paid time.

11. Changes and law

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
